Data We Collect
MEDIATOR VOX collects audio from your device's microphone while you actively use the app during a fact-checking session. Audio is only captured when you have the app open and a session running — never in the background.
How Your Data Is Used
Audio you record is sent to xAI's Grok API for two purposes:Transcription — converting your spoken words into text (via Grok STT)
Analysis — fact-checking the transcribed statements in real time (via Grok's language model)Third-Party Sharing & Retention
Audio is shared with xAI (developer of Grok) solely to provide transcription and fact-checking. xAI temporarily retains API requests and responses for up to 30 days for abuse-monitoring purposes, after which they are automatically deleted. This data is not used to train xAI's models. We do not sell your data or share it with any other third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
What We Store
MEDIATOR VOX itself does not store your raw audio. Only the transcribed text and fact-check results are saved, and they are stored locally on your device.
Your Consent
Before any audio is recorded, you must explicitly accept this policy via the in-app consent screen. You can withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the app.
